The Swedish clothing label Uniforms for the Dedicated, renowned for their focus on sustainability – and Swiss eyewear brand VIU collab and create a range of literary inspired shades.
As a part of label’s SS18 collection ‘Safari Vice’ previously presented at Copenhagen Fashion Week they teamed up with the Zurich designed eyewear brand to create a concept with an eye for sophisticated decadence.
THE VICE, THE LOST and THE SAFARI are three re-mastered classics, which have been given renewed timeless style by the creative directors of VIU and Uniforms for the Dedicated – designer Rasmus Wingårdh and co-founder Lars Hedberg. The frames come with a transparent finish made of cotton acetate and features distinguishing silver mirrored lenses. The colour options include navy blue and a warm nude shade.
The collection, now available online – combines tailoring with influences from sports and function, including applications such as taping, piping, and graphics to set a playful yet elegant tone. Seasonal colours include coral and blue to go along with bright sand and dark navy. Standouts include safari inspired shirts and jackets, colour blocking including a two-toned pea coat, track coat and sweats with matching trousers, and camo themed suiting.
Uniforms for the Dedicated is organically evolving as a contemporary men’s fashion label. Combining street with elegance, the line is standing for design conscious minimalism in an expressive suit.
VIU represents sustainably produced eyewear. The glasses go through an elaborate multi-step process before they reach the customer –handmade by a family-owned, traditional manufacturer in the Italian Dolomites.
The collection is available in selected VIU flagship stores and online at shopviu.com and at uniformsforthededicated.com
