Parisian chic with a twist: Alysee Yin Chen

A formar Marangoni Paris student, Alysée Yin Chen is at her 3rd collection. She is based in South of France, where she makes all her garments by following a slow and sustainable production cycle. Fabrics are sourced in Italy and finishings are all done by hand. Yin Chen was selected to attend the upcoming edition of Hyères Festival. Her approach to clothing is rather conceptual, yet her pieces are extremely feminine and flattering to the women’s body.

The SS17 collection narrates a visual story that is both inspired by organic and live forms of plants, which also envelopes with a sociological idea of feminism along the time dimensions, thriving for creating sculptured, complex pieces with exquisite fabric in limited quantities each season. All the materials are carefully selected in Italy and Japan, where garments are manufactured in central France. The spirit of prêt-à-porter are shown along with sophisticated detailing and contemporary couture forms.

The result is a creative, super feminine collection featuring innovative cuts and fabric combinations – a Parisian chic with a twist.
