SITUATIONIST SS22 – Air of Uncertainty

SITUATIONIST – a label that was founded by Tbilisi born designer Irakli Rusadze when he was only seventeen, released their SS22 collection Air Of Uncertainty exploring the surrounding, current situations of mind, constructed chaos and individual body of work.

The Collection unfolds the story of heritage carrying a hope concluding the past few months that have been extremely uncertain and deconstructive, but also somehow hopeful. The pieces are representing that mix between uncertainty and hope – combining more casual pieces with tailoring and strong colours that will make the wearer stand out in the crowd -blue, lilac, pink & red are accompanied by more subtle earthy tones, grey and black.

True to the their gender-neutral style this season also sees a selection of blazers in the brand’s original pattern-cutting forms alongside body hugging, feminine silhouettes – again, a brilliant dance of contrasts.

Asymmetry is also present once again in items like a cut-out jacket or in dresses and skirts, while oversized coats and jackets with voluminous sleeves appear alongside wardrobe staples such as Situationist’s chic take on trench coats.

Currently it feels like there’s no space or air for planning ahead but there’s an excitement to share, to tell, to show and point, look there’s something right here with us that matters the most” – Situationist
