Confident and happy women are at the heart of every collection created by the London based Serbian designer Roksanda Ilincic. Mixed with soft draping and long shapes, exaggerated at times, Resort 2018 collection presents versatility combined with Ilincic’s signature elegance and feminine silhouettes.

The collection was inspired by Seventies tapestries and embedded handcrafted elements with an extensive amount of handwork and a hint of masculine architectural tailoring.
This season garments are in form of breezy fluid dresses, relaxed suits, wide trousers, asymmetric midi dresses or long silk dresses, A-line tunics, fringes and voluminous sleeves – teamed with oversized earrings and geometric bags. Large buttons are added to knitwear and brings a quirky side to the collection.
Colour palette is a mix of delicate powdery pastels like pink and sorbet yellow and stronger shades like plum and ink. Other pieces are splashed with a Seventies floral print. The palette was envisioned by the designer after watching Brideshead Revisited, which explores nostalgia for the age of English aristocracy in the 1920’s. A fact that explains well the choices of colours in the collection.
