“clever and strange, lyrical and addictive”
Berlin-based design duo Ottolinger – Christa Bösch and Cosima Gadient presented a sophisticated SS20 collection at Paris fashion Week.
This season the collection transferred as an interview between a reporter and an engineer who designed a train delivering passengers home for the Lunar New Year on time.
The idea behind the collection is about bringing realism into the everyday wardrobe. The invite to the show included CBD oil from KannaSwiss, and guests were invited to their seats with the sound of a gong bath -presenting the CBD effect for the busy Ottolinger women to (naturally) relax.
The first looks were of draped and ruched pieces in shades of oatmeal and white, accented with string belts holding the CBD vile.
Hand-dyed colours, denim finishing and evocative purple and green photo prints appeared in collaboration with the German artist Lucie Stahlas well as traditional Swiss gingham and tomato drawings by the painter Georgia Gardner Gray.
Asymmetrical tailoring and hand painted denim with shiny finishing appeared alongside open cut-out bodysuits, tops, dresses and the brand’s signature straps.
Reconstructed premium Nike Air Max 90 turned Ottolinger’s handwork into a whole different story. The dreamlike CBD treasures on the signature ceramic bags marked the first Ottolinger x KannaSwiss collaboration, painting a magnificent portrait of the modern women in a busy world and imagined near future.
