Danish label Munthe, presented a tropical inspired SS19 collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week, in a beautiful Royal Danish Playhouse near the canals. Opening the show was Danish super model Freja Beha Erichsen.
Designer and creative director Naja Munthe, known for her unique attention to details, created a collection combining raw materials such as leather with sheer feminine ones, reflecting on Munthe’s design DNA. Feminine met edgy designs presenting a series of floor-length, airy dresses, slick trousers and outwear such as a trench coat or a pilot jacket. Silhouettes were classy, fresh and ultra-feminine. The looks were teamed with oversized bags and summer boots.
The colour palette was summery with prints as key players. This Summer we saw a lot of floral on the catwalks, which was not missing from Munthe’s collection as well, accompanied by leopard print, checked patterns and dots. All combined with bold colours such as burnt orange and cobalt blue.
Once again, Munthe created a versatile, exciting collection true to her artistic and enthusiastic trademark, made for the feminine, free spirited woman.
