Naja Munthe of Munthe AW18: “As I approach my goal, I put a new one”
It was only last year that designer Naja Munthe decided to bring back her brand Munthe, to the Copenhagen Fashion Week schedule. This season her collection definitely stood out giving a fair fight to iconic Danish brands such as Ganni, presenting a collection with the prefect balance between chic and sporty.
Naja Munthe took us on a journey that was raw with an industrial feel but at the same time colourful and feminine with Japanese inspired pieces. Suits and t-shirts were paired with wide kimono silk belts and skirts had origami-like detailing. The collection was presented beautifully featuring strong top models like Nina Marker, Lorelle Rayner and Lina Hoss.
Styling was brilliant with some head turning clashing prints, long sock sneaker, flattering dresses in tight silhouettes and oversized blazers. Munthe even brought a fresh take on the leopard print alongside a fantastic mixture of patterns and shiny fabrics. Colours were strong and bright from different shades of teal and green, mustard and blue presenting a super chic, feminine collection with an effortless vibe.
