Designers Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida debuted their SS19 collection during Paris Fashion Week for their second season, accompanied by their community of M’A girls.
The show was held at Lycée Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague, which was one of their M’A girl,Laurenca’s high school. “Walking for MA in my old high school gym feels really special, like somesort of full circle empowerment. Doing it for M’A makes it even more special, it all feels like a bigcaring family and I love everyone involved”, Laurenca d’Orey.
The Portuguese designers, who met while they were both students at Central Saint Martins in London, continued on instantly interpretation their Portuguese roots through the eyes of a brand created and revolving around its London and European community and girls. The full looks featured pinks, gold and ivory colours with the inclusion of a traditional Portuguese brocade in its original form of blue and negatively pink and black. The duo is known for their creative use of denim, seen also this season. Looks were completed with high boots and spiky choker collar necklaces, that added to the edgy feel.
