A favourite Danish brand Lovechild 1979 is back at Copenhagen Fashion Week after a few seasons away with a playful, feminine SS20 collection.
The location at the vintage-style sea bathing complex Helgoland On Amager Strandwas was the perfect setting for the effortlessly glamorous designs. Creative director Anne-Dorthe Larsen and her all-women design team created a summer wardrobe that every stylish girl can wish for – from light, girly smock dresses with puffy sleeves to lightweight summary knits in eye catching hues such as red or yellow.
The Lovechild 1979 aesthetic is as usual, instantly recognisable: very feminine yet grounded by masculine, tailored silhouettes. Black blazers and golden beige trench coats appeared with white eyelet lace collars – a fun interpretation to traditional tailoring. The collection was all about the quiet luxury the label stands for, with unique prints and beautiful detailing. The pieces don’t necessary follow trends, but will give us a stylish look without working too hard.
