Copenhagen-based label Lovechild 1979 presented their SS19 collection in a raw location at Christianshavn’s canals, Copenhagen as a part of Copenhagen Fashion Week. The old building with the naked walls created an aesthetic contrast to this flowery, colourful collection.
The collection, created by creative director Anne-Dorthe Larsen and her all-women design team was a perfect combination between feminine and masculine silhouettes. With an evident nod to the 60’s we saw Polka dots and flower patterns in form of airy dresses and tailored over-sized blazers. functional workwear was also an inspiration, expressed in jumpsuits and skirts. The colour palette was a range of white and beige colours with stronger hues like green, blue, red and yellow, all reflecting on the effortless styles and signature beautiful detailing.
