Austrian designer Lena Hoschek presented her SS20 collection ‘Season of the Witch’ at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin. The collection opened almost like a mystical dream, inspired equally by nature and the dichotomy that underlies dualism, as well as lascivious fetish elements and magical influences.
At the core of the collection are designs that reflect Lena Hoschek’s love of nature. Dazzling tulle skirts reminiscent of a meadow wet with morning dew and the Luna Dress in dusky blue of a romantic moonlight stroll. Black tulle adorns the floral printed Medea Skirt, enveloping it like the darkness of night.
Complimenting Hoschek’s vision, artist Kelly Louise created spiritual-looking illustrations gracing several fabrics in the collection. The colour black as element of night rounds out the contour of the designs.
“Every woman carries magic within herself. Some are surrounded by a captivating aura, some enchant with a seductive charisma and others in turn have an irresistible sex appeal.”

Waist-hugging styles set the tone for this season’s collection, an ode to the feminine silhouette of muse and brand ambassador Dita Von Teese. The designer plays with longing and desire and skilfully creates erotic contrasts with exciting lingerie by Atelier Bordelle.
The couture gowns from the line Lena Hoschek Atelier, overseen by Head of Couture Thomas Kirchgrabner, mesmerize and enchant. One after the other, embroidered dresses of the finest tulle float down the runway, looking dreamy and seductive at the same time.
