Spring-summer 2019 collection of luxury house Le Studio Pierre, “Bain de minuit” is inspired by the designers memories of their passage through the 90’s & 00’s. These memories are mixing up like a postal card of a contemporary sunset with science-fiction inputs inspired by the 90’s.
The Paris based brand highlights its freedom message through a full gender fluid collection.
This SS19 collection is sexy, elegant and provocative. It plays with vulgar using erotic references such as vinyl and lacing. Shapes are fitted, aiming to undress in a chic way, coming from the softness of the summer and the decadence of the nightlife.
The sea theme evokes itself through sportswear details – sometime transparent – with abstract fish print or shrimp embroideries. Through the collection, you can find adjustable pieces with cords inspired by fishing net that split up jackets or little buttons to tight up the garment together with playful details, a signature of the house, which explores the thin line between women & menswear.
Few pieces are handmade and barely dare to cover the body, such as the jumpsuit, or the stars and chains skirt made from shiny PVC. Le Studio Pierre also launched raw jean pieces with a body-con fit and contrasting topstitching, slit on the legs or slightly flair. Pastel satins worked as denims and technical solar-coloured fabrics evoke the nostalgic breath of a future vision.
