For Berlin based designer Leyla Piedayesh, owner of Lala Berlin, Copenhagen has been a main market next to Germany in recent years. Her show has moved to Copenhagen Fashion week for the last couple of years.
This season the AW19 collection “Girls on Fire” is all about inspiring strong women and their passion and ability to stand up for the things they believe in.
Warm colours from last year were replaced by brighter colours, the romantic cuts became bolder and the designs a bit more avant garde. The colour palette ranged from white and grey to bright yellow, red, orange and touches of mint green and light blue.
The brand’s signature prints such as the keffiyeh and the Leopard were reinterpreted this season, sometimes just hinted in form of a hat or a bags, colliding with new and existing silhouettes. The collection had a clear focus on tailoring. Origami-like details on dresses and blouses, bold suits and outerwear in statement colours bring the brand in a direction that fights for elegance, sophistication and femininity.
As always, all designs are made of high quality materials, including leather, jersey, wool, cashmere and silk.
Leyla Piedayeshdid it again – and created a super elegant and feminine collection for a strong woman adding her own personal touch – homage to all women that want to carry their message into the world.
