‘To dress up. Never down. Always up. And to express’ is the motivation behind the fresh avant-garde label King & Reign which showcased its Debut Collection at Vancouver Fashion Week. Designer Kiarash Tarikhi presents his Contemporary, Graffiti and Persian Gothic Calligraphy inspired pieces after having a dress of his walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017.
The brand is all about colours, and colours of life, and this was very evident in the collection. Pieces consisted white fabrics with colourful unique patterns on top, reminiscing the nature of Street Art which generally makes its statement by painting on blank spaces. Bold colours like navy blue, purple, orange and yellow teamed with bold eye shadow to complete the looks. Patterns and coloured clashed creating a bold collection and we are looking forward to see the brand experimenting next season.
