‘Avi-a-Trix’ – Judy Wu AW16

A collection designed to  celebrate the strength of femininity, ‘Avi-a-trix’, by designer of the moment Judy Wu is demonstrating admiration to aviation pioneers such as Amelia Earhart and Amy Johnson.

Designed by a woman for women, Judy Wu presented a feminine autumn/winter 2016 collection featuring tailoring with fluid draping, flowing dresses and trousers in parachute style fabric with strapping details harness style belts,

The bold Make up gave a hint of punk bringing up the post-war framework into the twenty-first century. Colours were army style khaki, washed out black, grey and touches of vibrant tangerine. The colour blocking of tropical tones and metallics were balanced by clean whites, while the slick classic tailoring in light colours, mixed with contrast blacks, added a modern edge to the collection.
