Designer Jamie Wei Huang presented her Autumn Winter 2019 collection at Garden Museum for London Fashion Week.
The collection’s name ‘Roaming Boy’ was taken from the song ‘roaming boy’ by Taiwanese Indie Band – no nonsense collection – the song describes a state of youth featured in the collection through a series of prep school looks mixed with an edgy rebel style. A selection of tartan are paired with denim, shades of red, royal blue and white, oversized bun bags worn across the shoulder and padded jackets in pop colours.
Fresh faced models with messy hair walked down the catwalk presenting unisex sweaters with hand embroidered check cable, exaggerated sleeves, silk corduroy, oversized scarves over classic jumpers and textured outerwear in vivid colours.
The Central Saint Martins graduate famously creates androgynous silhouettes mixing smart suit fabrics with synthetic, padded outerwear. This adds a uniqueness that creates another beautiful collection from this talented designer.
Jamie Wei Huang selection of go-to pieces can be found at Farfetch, Harvey Nichols and Dover Street Market.
