Parisian ready-to-wear brand FOU presents their second collection – the French brand doesn’t follow seasons but an underlying theme based on femininity and joy. For this collection, FOU highlights asymmetrical designs, minimal and clean, using a colour palette that mix ocre, blue tones and pastels with a gleaming effect.
“Who, freed from the propriety or standards of habitual behavior, indulges in playfulness, carelessness, exuberance. Who is devoid of common sense, of prudence, who runs counter to what would be reasonable. Who exceeds what is considered suitable, by their intensity or the mess they can cause“
FOU was created in 2016 after a trip to the Ivory Coast. Léa de Bartillat and Florent Vindimian, the two designers, were inspired by the richness of colours and the patterns that illuminate this wonderful country.
Conveying strong ethics and values, each FOU design is produced in France and in a limited-edition. The fabrics are made from left over materials and the design duo follows the entire production chain closely to keep total control over the process.
