Blanche: “We are inspired by female power”
The two founders of new eco-conscious denim label Blanche – Melissa Bech and Mette Fredin Christensen presented their AW18 at Copenhagen Fashion Week.
The label, that was officially launched in August 2017 is following the latest trend in the Danish capital, while all garments are made in Copenhagen using Global Organic Textile Standard–approved fabrics.
According to the founders, they created the label because they could not find a similar brand – sustainable, specialising in denim. The collection was all about Denim and some more. Garments were wearable but with a twist- denim was teamed with denim and chic wide-leg kick flare jeans were presented alongside oversized coast, flowy dresses and tailored jackets. It was a diverse collection mixing patters and fabrics using colours like black, white, red and bright blue.
Blanche definitely takes the denim trend a step further implementing elements which are mostly seen in men’s fashion to create a super feminine collection inspired by female power with the Blanche spirit -striving to enable women to dress sustainable from head to toe.
