Rio de Janeiro based brand Beira presented their AW19 collection at, Sao Paulo Fashion Week – featuring a monochromatic collection working with different shades of black.
This season, the brand which was founded in 2015, stays true to their usual versatility offering the wearer an opportunity to see the garments from inside out, giving them a different meaning.
The construction detailing of the designs were no doubt the highlight of the collection: pieces were stitched inside out without any guidelines, creating a delicate tangle on the reverse side of the seams. The thread came in red, sand or white adding a hint of colour to the all-black collection.
Fresh faced models walked down the runway with effortless, relaxed and unisex designs, functional yet with sleek, chic minimalist aesthetics – balancing traditional forms with the brand’s unique language.
Beira continues their partnerships with Converse, pairing outfits with classic black Chuck Taylor All Star Hightops to help compose the looks.
This collection marks the debut of Beira’s e-commerce, and for a limited time exclusive pieces from the runaway will be available online. “The idea of continuity guides the identity of Beira. The brand’s first collection is still being explored through different perspectives. We attempt to understand the need to make and have clothing; therefore, our collections talk to each other”. Lívia Cunha Campos, Creative director.
First drop of the exclusive pieces is expected early June 2019. In the meantime you can subscribe to receive latest style news and stay connected to the brand.
