BATSHEVA FALL 2022 READY-TO-WEAR

New York-based label BATSHEVA by Batsheva Hay presented a FW22 collection at NYFW hosted at Casa Cipriani NYC in the Jazz Lounge.

Renowned for renovating formal silhouettes of Victorian and prairie pieces with maximalist inflection, the designer was inspired by the way she used to dress as a new mother almost a decade ago. “I look at old photos and think how natural and timeless those looks were” she said.

Sharon Tate’s iconic Babydoll wedding dress, that was always a source of inspiration for Batsheva was finally recreated this season in denim with a dusty rose velvet trim.

Although the designs were created with a black & white film in mind, there are colourful patterns and pops of colours such as shades of green & blue as well as a touch of metallics. Softer shapes are introduced with the signature ruffles and bows, puff sleeves, voluminous shapes, and high collars.
