Akris FW19 – Make your mark!

Fashion is about a conversation between a woman and her clothes, that she is her best self and free. This is what guides me designing a collection and what the exclamation marks stand for!

Albert Kriemler
Paris, March 2019

The house of Akris presented their FW19 collection at Paris Fashion Week focusing on luxurious suiting and outwear with Coco Rocha and Dilone walking the elegant show.

Designer Albert Kriemler almost always references art, this season finding inspiration in a print based on the colour charts of Johann Wolfgang Goethe from the early 19th century, appearing on pieces such as a trouser suit or a shirtdress.

Fluid, romantic dresses, sheer blouses, jackets and trousers were from soft velvet, cashmere or very delicate lace to leather and corduroy. The graphic prints appeared next to the St. Gallen embroidery, which the brand is known for.

Colours were mostly vivid such as mustard yellow, emerald green, hot red or cobalt blue as well as gold tones or crisp white head-to-toe looks. Styles were relaxed, oversized at time, some with a boxy fit- perfect for the ultimate winter layering.
